How to build a trigger mailing system with Mandrill
We generally work mostly on these 3 areas:
- PPC management, including high autonomy from task creation to implementation and analysis.
- Email marketing, including promo, trigger, and welcome emails for 3 different audiences: guests, owners of daily rent, and partners.
- Web analytics and BI implementation. But they also help us with wider, strategic questions on management, sales process, investments, and finance as needed.
What was the main challenge in this project?
The client approached us with the task of transferring triggered emails from a self-written own system to an external triggered mailing service. We have revised, supplemented and transferred 308 letters to Mandrill and the work is still going on.
What was your solution or approach?
- Outsourcing the marketing team with the marketing director.
- Supervising third-party contractors of the client.
- 3 directions of PPC advertising restarted.
- 260 triggered emails implemented in Mandrill by API.
- Carrying out regular mailings and prepared email automation for the segments of tenants and apartment owners.
- Google Analytics with Enhanced Ecommerce module and Measurement Protocol technology set up.
- Management reporting using Microsoft Power BI set up.
What was the outcome or impact for the client?
As part of the electronic mailing list strategy, we reworked, supplemented and transferred 308 emails to Mandrill and continue to do so. Including for partner projects Dobovo and for the Turkish version of the site with all the content being translated.
The system works flawlessly. The Client enjoys 98.6% deliverability, without a single downgrade or hit by Mandrill filters for the entire period of time. The reputation is “Excellent” according to the system, with more than 200,000 sends per month.
