The primary challenge with this project was in the amount of industry, user, and product research that had already been conducted by the product stakeholder company, and yet needed to be compiled organized and translated into a full product specification that aligned with the companies center-piece flagship solution concept. In addition, a complete set of business requirements needed to be identified that fully aligned with the companies expected business workflows and operational strategies. User centricity of the product was a central theme throughout the project. This meant that while technical specifications, business requirements, and other guidelines would be created, constant user survey and demo feedback would require project agility and flexibility from milestone to milestone deliveries.

We focused quite a bit of time on strategic planning to compile the wealth of research that was brought and translate it to a set of business requirements technical specifications and data modeling that fully supported the customers envisioned business model. At the conclusion of the strategic planning phase we then proceeded to a collaborative design and non-functional rapid prototyping that provided the stakeholders with a pre-development snapshot of what the application would look like and a sense of how the would function and flow. Once approved by by the client we then moved into alpha development and QA and delivered each iteration to the clients’ staff. At the conclusion of alpha development we moved to beta testing and bug fixing until we had a well tested deploy-able solution. From end to end the project was executed in a fully collaborative and agile fashion that enabled us to align and respond to the clients’ needs. At the same time we continuously adjusted user centric best practices during development to account for survey and demo feedback that would come from the applications planned target user base.
