Our team designed a sleek, responsive website that refreshes their visual identity, showcases their event services, and includes an eCommerce-enabled product catalogue and quote request platform. The Brief Market Research, Website Redesign & Product Catalogue The previous website of UEG was outdated, lacked mobile responsiveness, and proved challenging to manage. With a business restructuring and brand refresh following the pandemic, it was essential for the new website and online marketing strategy to align with their new direction. UEG boasts an extensive inventory of over 5000 decor items and event gear available for hire. To streamline their operations, they sought our consultation on various solutions, including bespoke development and utilizing WooCommerce, to build an online product catalogue that would enable customers to request quotes conveniently. While UEG managed their Google Ad Campaigns and Analytics internally, their marketing team faced difficulties in handling the overwhelming volume of campaigns and data, as well as understanding their impact. To address this challenge, they entrusted us to analyze the data, conduct market research, and implement a new online marketing strategy that would maximize their results and provide clear insights for decision-making.

The Solution A cohesive website with centralised product catalogue Through close collaboration with their creative team, we iterated on various design prototypes until achieving the perfect balance of simplicity, elegance, and timelessness for the new website. The website places strong emphasis on captivating content, immersive visual elements, and the strategic use of marketing videos to showcase key event services. To streamline the quote request process and boost conversion rates, a unique quote request form was incorporated on each event service page. This eliminates the need for customers to navigate away from the page to a general contact form. To gain insights for better marketing decisions, each form conversion is tracked by a unique event service ID, providing valuable data for analysis. An eCommerce-enabled product catalogue was created, featuring product attributes, filters, and an online quote submission and management platform. An updated online marketing strategy was implemented, utilizing GA4 measurement, Google Ad Campaigns, and a comprehensive SEO overhaul of their content and product data. These measures ensure a targeted and optimized online presence for UEG.
What was the outcome or impact for the client?
The new website has been well received by clients, reporting an improved user experience. The product catalogue is of great benefit to event planners, able to browse an extensive range of dry-hire products, with an easy online order process, account login and order history. With online quote requests and product orders centralised on the platform, the UEG sales team are more productive and able to respond to customer requests in a shorter period of time. UEG have reported a surge in quality quote requests and leads, since we overhauled their Google Ads account, implemented compliant SEO with quality relevant content. With comprehensive reporting in place, we are able to make better marketing decisions. Ads can be targeted to in-market audiences and affinity segments at the right time, leveraging the power of re-marketing and re-targeting.
