We partnered with LOT Polish Airlines to reshape their digital flight experience. The project involved a complete UX/UI redesign of the LOT.com website, delivering a fully responsive, modern, and user-friendly interface. The work included creating a new flight booking engine, an improved airline booking management system ("Manage My Booking"), and associated e-commerce platforms.
What was the main challenge in this project?
The client needed to replace their existing platform with a user-friendly and intuitive website that could accommodate a wide range of target users. A key challenge was to create an innovative, modern approach to the complex processes of booking and managing flights. The new design also had to be fully responsive (Mobile First) to increase conversions and meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to be mindful of travelers with special needs.
What was your solution or approach?
Through a multidimensional UX approach starting with client workshops, we defined a new information architecture and design system. We designed and developed a streamlined, sophisticated platform, creating over 700 unique screens for the desktop version alone. The solution includes an intuitive navigation system and user-friendly features for every step of the journey, such as an easy-to-use seating chart, a "best price" comparison tool, and a simple reservation management platform.
What was the outcome or impact for the client?
The innovative UX approach yielded significant results, creating a user-friendly flight booking engine that allows users to "effortlessly book their unforgettable journeys." The new interface successfully meets both user objectives and LOT's strategic goals. The success of the project and the trust built with the client's team resulted in a strong partnership that has been ongoing and expanding since 2019.
