We delivered a comprehensive UX/UI redesign and Front-end development for Santander Consumer Bank's new e-banking system. This project involved creating a novel concept for the entire platform, resulting in a reliable, modern, and user-friendly online transactional service used by thousands of daily users.
What was the main challenge in this project?
The main challenge was to develop a new e-banking solution that truly met the "current needs of bank customers," which were identified through a series of verification studies. The platform had to be effective, easy to access, and fully compliant with all business requirements and financial market regulations. The project also required a large-scale design effort, including over 80 desktop projects plus dedicated tablet and smartphone versions.
What was your solution or approach?
We applied an agile design approach, starting with strategic consulting, client workshops, and thorough user research (including competitive analysis and benchmarking). This led to a new information architecture and a clickable, functional prototype that was validated with user testing (e.g., A/B tests, scenario tasks). We then designed and implemented the final front-end layer, featuring a modern UI, charts with microinteractions, and an "Important dates" module for payment management.
What was the outcome or impact for the client?
The collaboration, lasting over a year, resulted in a highly successful platform that measurably improved the client's business. Key performance indicators include a 45% increase in user satisfaction, a 20% shorter average time to complete a loan application, and 300,000 visits per month. The "excellent quality of the services provided" prompted the client to extend the collaboration to include new projects, such as financial calculators and order forms.
