What was the main challenge in this project?
Despite its growing customer base and operational footprint, Red Taxi needed a scalable, centralized application to improve ride management, booking efficiency, and communication between drivers, customers, and support teams. They sought to reduce manual intervention, enable real-time tracking, and offer features that would accommodate evolving user expectations—such as multiple trip options, emergency alerts, and dynamic pricing support across cities.

Mallow partnered with Red Taxi to design and develop a robust cab management system tailored to their business model. The application streamlined user registration and booking, enabling first-time users to book rides in just a few steps. Key features included:
Live cab tracking from booking to pickup for enhanced visibility
Multiple ride options including outstation and rental trips with flexible timing
Secure SOS functionality to alert emergency contacts or support directly from the app
Seamless payment via cash or PayTM, with city-specific discount coupons auto-applied
Automatic dispatch updates for both drivers and customers to ensure timely pickups
The admin interface was also enhanced to simplify backend operations and reduce dependency on call centres.
