What was the main challenge in this project?
Scandic Sofa wanted to transform the way people shop for sofas online. With hundreds of size, shape, and fabric combinations, their modular furniture offering was rich - but overwhelming to navigate digitally. They needed a way to let users visualize their ideal sofa in detail, customize it seamlessly, and preview it in their home - without visiting a physical showroom.
What was your solution or approach?
1. Modular 3D Sofa Configurator
We built a highly intuitive, step-by-step configurator that lets users customize sectional layouts, colors, fabrics, and accessories in real time. Every module, cushion, and dimension reacts instantly to user input, delivering a frictionless experience on both desktop and mobile.
2. Photorealistic 3D Assets
Using ultra-detailed 3D models and materials, we created a library of lifelike product visuals. These assets power both the configurator and marketing content, maintaining visual consistency across the entire brand ecosystem.
3. Augmented Reality Integration
To bring the sofa into the user's space, we implemented a real-time AR preview tool. Each configuration generates a unique QR code—users scan it on any smartphone to view their chosen sofa in 1:1 scale directly in their living room.
